What you'll do

• Research and develop generative AI and multimodal models, including image and video models.
• Develop large-scale foundation models (LLMs/VLMs) using post-training techniques.
• Build models for TikTok creative applications, collaborate across functions, and explore new AI-driven product opportunities.

What they ask for

• Completing or recently completed a PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficiency training generative AI or large models with frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
• Strong programming skills and solid machine-learning fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Research background in generative AI, LLMs/VLMs, or ML systems; hands-on experience in image/video generation or editing, model fine-tuning, efficient model design, or reinforcement learning methods.
• Research publications at conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGGRAPH, or SIGGRAPH Asia.
