What you'll do

  • Design image-processing, multi-object tracking, and discrimination pipelines, including physics-based features and phenomenology models.
  • Analyze and verify algorithm performance; test algorithms in software- and hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
  • Integrate perception algorithms into flight software for space-qualified processors.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor's degree in physics, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, or a similar discipline.
  • Experience with C/C++ and Python.
  • 2+ years of experience implementing image-processing, detection, and tracking algorithms deployed in real-world systems.
  • Working knowledge of radiometry and infrared phenomenology; U.S. citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance.

Nice to have

  • Master's or PhD in a similar discipline; experience with missile defense or EO/IR sensor programs.
  • Expertise in EO/IR phenomenology, radiometric calibration, thermal modeling, focal-plane arrays, nonlinear filtering or multi-object tracking; experience with scene generation, sensor simulation, measured-data validation, or 2+ years writing high-reliability production C/C++.
