About the job
Owns the architecture, development, and validation of high-performance power electronics hardware for organ and whole-body cryopreservation rewarming systems.
What you'll do
- Develop rewarming power electronics from architecture through modeling, prototyping, validation, and iteration.
- Design converter topologies, resonant networks, impedance matching systems, and electromagnetic structures; evaluate system-level tradeoffs.
- Build, operate, and debug laboratory infrastructure and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to validate rewarming systems.
What they ask for
- Deep understanding of power electronics, electromagnetics, and analog circuit design.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience, or equivalent advanced degree + track record, designing, building, and validating high-reliability, high-energy power systems.
- Experience designing high-frequency, high-voltage power converters, including device-level modeling, semiconductor selection, layout parasitic mitigation, impedance matching, shielding, and EMI/EMC.
- Strong laboratory skills with high-voltage, high-current, and high-bandwidth instrumentation; proficiency with simulation tools such as SPICE, PSIM, or ANSYS Maxwell.
Nice to have
- Experience with first-of-its-kind high-energy hardware, medium-to-high voltage isolation, high-Q resonant systems, or thermal design and liquid cooling.
- Experience leading or mentoring multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Pay
USD 175,000–230,000 per-year-salary; base salary
