Software Engineer, Verifications Platform

What you'll do

• Design and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and event-driven systems for verification and decisioning.
• Integrate financial data, machine learning models, and internal decisioning services with partner teams.
• Improve platform reliability, testing, monitoring, observability, and reusable infrastructure.

What they ask for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience and 3+ years developing backend applications using Kotlin, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.
• Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems, including service-to-service APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with scalable production backend services handling business-critical or financial data, decision engines integrating machine learning models, and production-quality code with automated testing, monitoring, and observability.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of financial services, lending, fraud prevention, identity verification, or other risk-sensitive systems.
• Experience with third-party financial data providers or APIs such as Plaid, rule engines, workflow orchestration, automated decisioning, or reusable platform services.

$142,000 — $196,600 USD (base salary)
