About the job
Own platform reliability, monitoring, incident response, and deployment automation for systems operating at scale, including in high-side environments.
What you'll do
- Monitor system telemetry, investigate and resolve incidents, and communicate status and post-incident learnings.
- Build observability tooling and improve platform health, scaling, capacity planning, and deployment pipelines.
- Develop automation and self-service tools to improve secure, high-availability delivery and engineering efficiency.
What they ask for
- Hands-on experience monitoring production systems and responding to incidents, including owning debugging and escalation decisions.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring or observability tools such as the PLG stack or Datadog.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies; familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi; and scripting experience with Python, Bash, or other languages.
- U.S. citizenship, TS/SCI clearance, and willingness and ability to work on-site in San Diego, CA.
Nice to have
- Experience defining and tracking SLOs/SLIs and error budgets.
- Experience crafting CI/CD processes and automation; proficiency with Docker is also a plus.
