About the job
The Developer Advocate promotes VAST Data’s platform through community engagement, technical content, workshops, integrations, and AI agent and data pipeline demonstrations.
What you'll do
- Represent VAST Data at events, deliver workshops, and build developer and customer community relationships.
- Create technical content, applications, reference architectures, proof-of-concepts, and hands-on labs.
- Develop and showcase AI agents and data pipelines, advise customers and sales engineers, and relay feedback to product teams.

- Background in software development, developer relations, advocacy, or technical evangelism.
- Proven experience in public speaking and presenting technical content.
- Strong technical writing skills with a portfolio, plus experience creating and delivering technical workshops or training.
- Experience with modern AI frameworks and data processing technologies; familiarity with distributed computing; software development experience using data engineering languages and tools such as Python, SQL, and vector databases.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of advanced storage and compute architectures, containerization, orchestration, cloud-native technologies, or modern databases; experience with VAST Data or similar platforms.
- Production data pipeline experience, active social media presence in relevant technical communities, or experience with enterprise data infrastructure customers.
