BS or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.

About the job

Own verification of a custom high-performance CPU, from test planning through coverage closure, to confirm its microarchitecture behaves correctly across hardware and software systems.

What you'll do

  • Verify CPU units, including instruction fetch, decode, load/store, and caches; develop testbenches, stimulus, checkers, assertions, and coverage.
  • Create test and coverage plans with architects, verify architectural behavior and performance, and compare instruction-level stimulus against a golden instruction set simulator.
  • Run regressions, track bugs and coverage, support emulation and FPGA prototyping, and debug issues across hardware and software.

What they ask for

  • 8 or more years verifying high-performance CPUs or complex digital designs.
  • Strong computer architecture and microarchitecture fundamentals; experience owning verification from test plan through coverage closure.
  • Experience with SystemVerilog, UVM, C and C++, assertions, coverage-driven verification, test plans, portable testbenches, and transactors.
  • BS or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of ARM or RISC-V ISA and CPU verification domains such as cache coherence or memory ordering.
  • Experience with formal verification, silicon bring-up, custom processor verification, or AI-assisted verification workflows.

Pay

USD 200,000–300,000 per-year-salary (base salary)

Tools

SystemVerilog, UVM, C, C++, ARM, RISC-V

AI focus

The role verifies a CPU designed for Physical AI compute; preferred experience includes using AI-assisted verification workflows to improve productivity and coverage.
