Palo Alto HQ · Hybrid · Full-time · Posted Aug 17, 2026

Experience
4–8 years of industry or research experience in computational electromagnetics applied to semiconductor packaging, PCB design, or high-speed electronics.

About the job

Design, implement, validate, and integrate computational electromagnetics and signal-integrity solvers for semiconductor packaging, PCB, and multi-physics simulation workflows.

What you'll do

  • Build frequency- and time-domain EM solvers, quasi-static extraction, and signal-integrity analysis capabilities.
  • Develop S-parameter extraction, touchstone output, and EM-to-thermal coupling workflows.
  • Create validation infrastructure and integrate solver outputs into Vinci4D’s platform.

What they ask for

  • Working knowledge of FDTD, FDFD, and quasi-static computational electromagnetics.
  • Hands-on semiconductor-industry signal-integrity simulation experience and understanding of the full SI workflow.
  • Experience implementing FDTD and frequency-domain EM solvers, plus quasi-static parasitic extraction.
  • Proficiency in C++ and/or Python and software engineering practices including Git, automated testing, and regression testing.

Nice to have

  • Experience with high-speed interface standards, S-parameter workflows, or EM-thermal coupling.
  • GPU acceleration, domain decomposition, MoM, model order reduction, power integrity, photonics, or a relevant graduate degree.
