About the job
Designs and develops active and passive silicon photonic components, especially SOAs, from simulation and layout through foundry tapeout and characterization.
What you'll do
- Design, simulate, and optimize SOAs and other photonic components, including switches, modulators, and photodetectors.
- Lead component layouts, test structures, tapeouts, and collaboration with foundries and manufacturing partners.
- Analyze characterization and wafer-level data to validate designs and guide improvements.
What they ask for

- Strong background in silicon photonic component design, including active devices, III-V/Si integration, and SOA physics and simulation.
