Provides independent construction-site safety oversight and develops Vulcan Elements’ contractor safety program for its facility under construction in Benson, NC.
What you'll do
- Develop contractor safety standards, prequalification and scorecards, contract provisions, and stop-work and escalation protocols.
- Inspect construction activities, audit contractor safety documentation, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions to closure.
- Track site risks and stormwater compliance, and partner with engineering and contractors on safety as the facility comes online.
What they ask for
- Proven construction safety experience, ideally on large industrial, manufacturing, or DOD-related capital projects.
- Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards, JHA development, and incident investigation methodology.
- Completed OSHA 30-hour training.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
Nice to have
- Bilingual.
- OSHA 510 or First aid/CPR/AED certification.
