About the job
Develop and lead Vulcan Elements’ industrial hygiene program, including workplace exposure monitoring, employee health protection, ergonomic assessments, and regulatory compliance.
What you'll do
- Design and implement industrial hygiene, sampling and monitoring, ergonomics, and PPE programs.
- Conduct air and noise monitoring, ergonomic assessments, PPE audits, and respirator fit testing; oversee employee health testing.
- Prepare reports, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and incorporate new regulations into the program.
What they ask for
- BA/BS in industrial hygiene, environmental science/engineering, occupational health science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in PPE effectiveness, ergonomic assessments, industrial hygiene sampling and monitoring, and related tasks.
- Experience with area and personal air monitoring, noise surveys and recommendations, ergonomic assessments and recommendations, and participating in JHAs and writing HASPs.
- Knowledge of industrial processes and related health hazards; ability to work in a respirator and protective clothing.
Nice to have
- Experience building a program or working in a start-up or industrial/manufacturing company; powdered metal industry experience.
- First aid/CPR/AED certification; OSHA 30.
