About the job
Assists in developing and implementing the site safety program, ensuring regulatory compliance and reducing operational risks at Vulcan Elements’ R&D facility.
What you'll do
- Run safety programs and activities, including incident investigations, tailgates, observations, self-assessments, and equipment checks.
- Track safety KPIs, corrective actions, and audit-ready documentation; provide safety guidance to engineering and operations.
- Partner with R&D and process engineering to incorporate safety into scale-up and new processes.

- Working knowledge of OSHA standards, JHAs, and incident investigation methodology.
- Completed OSHA 30-hour training.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust and credibility.
- Must be able to perform listed physical activities, including climbing ladders and scaffolds and lifting up to 35 lbs.
Nice to have
- Bilingual.
- First aid/CPR/AED certified.
