About the job

Leads industrial engineering for a 1.1-million-square-foot manufacturing facility expansion, designing its layout, capacity, and material flow to support production scaling.

What you'll do

  • Own facility layout and space allocation, including production lines, storage, shipping/receiving, and support infrastructure.
  • Analyze capacity, cycle times, bottlenecks, throughput, staffing, and material movement using factory-flow simulations.
  • Coordinate with technical and operations teams and establish lean, safety, and continuous-improvement frameworks before mass production.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience setting up a new, large-scale manufacturing facility from the ground up.
  • Expertise in Yamazumi charts, Value Stream Mapping, line balancing, and takt- versus cycle-time calculations.
  • Experience with discrete-event simulation software and AutoCAD; statistical analysis of machine standard minutes, operator efficiency, and equipment utilization.

Nice to have

  • Experience in massive-scale, heavy industrial, or automotive/aerospace manufacturing; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, or substantial lean manufacturing training.
  • Familiarity with racking, AS/RS, hazardous-material storage regulations, or regulated industries such as Defense, Aerospace, or Automotive.
