About the job
Administers and improves Linux infrastructure supporting Vultr’s global customers and data center operations, including troubleshooting, upgrades, migrations, and automation.
What you'll do
- Design and implement Linux infrastructure upgrades and changes; maintain servers and resolve complex performance, stability, and security issues.
- Support data center deployments and system/application migrations; monitor security and performance and implement corrective actions.
- Develop automation and operational tooling, maintain technical documentation, and serve as an escalation point for Linux issues.
What they ask for
- Strong proficiency administering Linux systems, including CentOS, Debian, and Ubuntu.
- Experience troubleshooting and analyzing non-routine technical issues.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
- Hands-on experience configuring and supporting web servers, databases and caching solutions, and firewalls; understanding of Linux tooling, security hardening, distributed storage, virtualization, load balancing, and core networking.
Nice to have
- Experience with virtualization, networking, or software development.

$60,000 - $75,000 USD base salary
