Owns operational reliability for Vultr’s database infrastructure, including monitoring, backups, disaster recovery, incident response, access management, and automation.
What you'll do
- Maintain monitoring, alerting, and replication health for MySQL and PostgreSQL databases across datacenters; respond to incidents and share on-call responsibilities.
- Establish backup verification and disaster recovery testing, manage database access, and track security compliance remediation.
- Build database configuration and automation tooling, maintain operational documentation, and support the Debezium/Kafka Connect pipeline.
