About the job

Leads systems engineering for autonomous-vehicle sensing, perception, mapping, and localization, from requirements and integration through simulation, verification, and safety-case development.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end systems engineering and cross-functional integration across hardware, software, AI, and safety teams.
  • Develop and validate system requirements and contracts using physical and simulated data; improve sensor simulation and synthetic data generation.
  • Contribute to the safety case, ensure traceability through verification and validation, and mentor engineers.

What they ask for

  • 3+ years of industry experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or aerospace, with a track record of taking autonomous systems from R&D to deployment.
  • Strong AV domain knowledge in sensing, perception, sensor fusion, mapping, and localization; deep knowledge of sensor physics, signal processing, data acquisition/management, and correlated system errors.
  • Expertise in Systems Engineering and V&V, including requirements decomposition for Level 4 AVs; working knowledge of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262.
  • Comprehensive programming skills in Python, C++, or other common languages; extensive experience in sensor simulation, error modeling, and perception/localization requirements development.

Nice to have

  • Experience with generative AI architectures or integrating ML-based perception into safety cases; familiarity with SOTIF (ISO 21448).
  • Experience with end-to-end perception/localization systems, sensor calibration and synchronization, large-scale testing, or Rust and build/test automation tools.
