About the job

Own the aerodynamic design and analysis of interceptors, from concept and wind tunnel testing through flight, and build validated aerodynamic databases for flight simulation.

What you'll do

  • Design interceptor outer mold lines, fins, and control surfaces; assess configurations and trade-offs.
  • Build, maintain, and validate aerodynamic databases and run aerodynamic analyses and simulations.
  • Plan and support wind tunnel and flight tests, correlating test data to improve aerodynamic models.

What they ask for

  • B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of applied aerodynamics experience on flight vehicles.
  • Experience building aerodynamic databases for flight simulation; strong command of supersonic aerodynamics and stability and control.
  • Hands-on CFD and engineering-level aerodynamic prediction tool experience; proficiency in Python or MATLAB. Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR.

Nice to have

  • M.S. or Ph.D.
  • Experience with high-speed vehicles, wind tunnel tests, aerothermal analysis, flight data, 6DOF simulation, OML design, or early-stage startups.
