About the job

Research and improve computer vision and multimodal perception models for autonomous driving, including analysis of model representations, evaluation on vehicle data and simulations, and data-quality improvements.

What you'll do

  • Analyze internal feature representations of deep multimodal perception foundation models and inspect them for data-quality signals.
  • Validate and improve model performance using large-scale autonomous vehicle sensor datasets and simulation environments.
  • Train, fine-tune, and evaluate neural networks; implement or augment data pipelines to improve data quality.

What they ask for

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Programming experience in Python.
  • Practical experience training, fine-tuning, and evaluating deep learning models for computer vision or multimodal perception, such as with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
  • Solid understanding of modern neural architectures, such as Vision Transformers and multimodal sensor encoders.

Nice to have

  • Research experience or publications in multimodal deep learning or vision foundation models.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-camera and/or 3D LiDAR perception systems in robotics or autonomous driving; experience evaluating large-scale perception systems in practical settings.

Pay

$85 — $85 USD per hour (hourly pay)
