Lead software performance work for Waymo’s autonomous vehicle systems and simulation, improving latency, compute use, reliability, and driving quality.
What you'll do
- Develop modular architecture and frameworks to improve performance and compute utilization on vehicles and in simulation.
- Partner with onboard and hardware teams to identify bottlenecks and optimize software and hardware together.
- Build performance evaluation, debugging, and software change-management processes; optimize simulation resource use across CPU, GPU, and TPU.
