About the job
Design and deliver security controls and architecture for embedded software and connected vehicle systems across Wayve’s development fleet.
What you'll do
- Develop security controls for real-time embedded firmware and embedded Linux; maintain security tooling, libraries, and instrumentation.
- Review code and system designs, identify vulnerabilities, and guide remediation, threat modelling, and penetration-testing work.
- Partner with engineering and Security teams to secure vehicle systems, fleet risks, and vehicle-to-backend communications.
What they ask for
- Proven record designing and delivering security systems for connected Linux-based embedded devices.
- Hands-on experience integrating hardware-backed security into production systems.
- Understanding of cryptography fundamentals and public-key infrastructure; system-level development experience with kernels, bootloaders, or embedded operating systems.
- Ability to code in Python, C++, C, or Go and communicate technical recommendations effectively.
Nice to have
- Experience with Yocto, QNX or another RTOS, containers, secrets management, MISRA, or vulnerability management.
- Security-community contributions.
