About the job

Leads the architecture, development, validation, and vehicle deployment of real-time localization and state-estimation systems for autonomous vehicles.

What you'll do

  • Define the localization architecture and technical roadmap, and develop state-estimation systems combining GNSS, IMU, and wheel odometry.
  • Take localization solutions from algorithm design through production implementation, validation, and deployment on real-time vehicle platforms.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, and coordinate integration across robotics, calibration, controls, sensor, and vehicle-platform teams.

What they ask for

  • Practical expertise in localization, state estimation, or sensor fusion, including combining GNSS, IMU, and wheel-odometry measurements.
  • Understanding of filtering methods such as EKF or UKF and nonlinear optimization approaches such as factor graphs.
  • Production experience with localization or state-estimation systems in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or comparable real-time systems.
  • Strong modern C++ skills and Python proficiency, plus experience with validation, benchmarking, and hands-on technical leadership.

Nice to have

  • Experience incorporating camera-, LiDAR-, or RADAR-based measurements; with nonlinear optimization libraries such as GTSAM, Ceres, or g2o; or with embedded real-time deployment.
  • Familiarity with automotive practices such as MISRA C++, robotics tools such as ROS, Eigen, OpenCV, PCL, or CUDA, or relevant graduate education.

Pay
