Senior Counsel, Litigation and Employment

What you'll do

• Manage litigation and arbitration matters, including case strategy, budgets, settlements, and outside counsel.
• Handle consumer and merchant disputes, intellectual property protection, investigations, legal requests, and employment advice across U.S. and international operations.
• Build processes, playbooks, training, and AI-assisted workflows to resolve disputes and prevent recurrence.

What they ask for

• 6–10 years of legal experience, with substantial commercial or consumer litigation experience.
• JD and admission to the New York or California bar, or eligibility to register as in-house counsel.
• Experience managing litigation and arbitration end to end, including outside counsel management and budgeting.
• Experience advising on employment matters or a strong foundation in employment litigation; working knowledge of trademark and copyright law, including DMCA processes.

Nice to have

• Consumer class action or mass arbitration defense experience.
• Experience with payments disputes, chargebacks, financial services litigation, online marketplaces, platform liability, creator economy businesses, California employment law, or regulatory investigations.

Pay

USD $300,000-$350,000 base salary
