Senior Software Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, build, and deploy observability services, data collection systems, and real-time and batch processing modules.
• Develop metrics ingestion pipelines, alert definitions, and dashboard lifecycle automation; maintain data quality, integrity, and availability.
• Operate the platform in production, including air-gapped U.S. AWS regions, and participate in on-call support and security collaboration.

What they ask for

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience building high-performance data ingestion software, addressing concurrency, latency, and efficiency challenges.
• Strong software engineering background; coding skills in Java and Python; understanding of data capture and collection systems, API design, reliable data delivery, time-series databases, logs, and Kubernetes.
• Fluency in Linux and experience with Infrastructure Automation (Ansible, Chef, Terraform); ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Nice to have

• Go; experience with Prometheus Ecosystem, Elastic Search, Grafana, InfluxData stack, PromQL, InfluxQL, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly preferred; DoD 8570/8140-compliant certification at least IAT Level Il with a current CE credential and approved specialty certification.

Pay

$163,800 USD - $245,800 USD (base salary); $148,200 USD - $264,000 USD (base salary)
