About the job

Build and operate reusable backend infrastructure and high-volume pipelines that process, transform, validate, and deliver robotics datasets to customer specifications.

What you'll do

  • Own systems for processing, packaging, and delivering robotics data; build reliable pipelines to customer storage at petabyte scale.
  • Transform datasets to client specifications, including formats, schemas, fields, metadata, and versioning.
  • Work with customer engineering, operations, and product teams to scope custom requests and turn changing needs into scalable platform features.

What they ask for

  • Strong backend and data engineering fundamentals in a modern language such as Python, Go, or Rust, and comfort operating production systems on AWS and GCP.
  • Experience building and owning high-volume data pipelines.
  • Experience with large binary formats, streaming ingestion, distributed batch processing, and object storage economics.
  • Ability to lead technical customer conversations, handle ambiguity, and ship iteratively.

Nice to have

  • Experience with robotics or AV data formats and tools such as MCAP, ROS, protobuf, or Foxglove.
  • Experience with multimodal data, multi-sensor data, forward-deployed or delivery engineering, computer vision, or multimodal ML.

Pay
