About the job
Conduct high-volume flight tests of autonomous aircraft and delivery systems to verify safety, reliability, and operational readiness, and use findings to improve performance.
What you'll do
- Execute daily flight-test campaigns, including reliability, regression, and fault-injection testing as Remote Pilot in Command.
- Validate aircraft performance, troubleshoot and repair issues, and analyze and report test results and anomalies.
- Manage safety during field operations and coordinate with engineering and operations teams to resolve risks and improve test procedures.
What they ask for
- FAA Part 107 certification at time of joining.
- Experience piloting drones or manned aircraft.
- Experience making aeronautical go/no-go decisions, preparing preflight checklists, and documenting and escalating safety incidents.
- Able to work in high-tempo outdoor conditions, lift and move 50+ lb equipment, and support multi-hour test windows.
Nice to have
- Linux command-line comfort; reliability or endurance testing experience.
- Basic mechanical or electrical troubleshooting; experience with automated flight systems.
Pay
$30-$36/hour USD base cash pay
