About the job
Installs, commissions, maintains, and documents electrical, network, and mechanical ground systems at Zipline field sites to support safe, reliable autonomous operations.
What you'll do
- Install, configure, commission, and quality-check ground-system installations, including electrical and network systems.
- Troubleshoot basic system and site faults, and perform maintenance and upgrades to improve uptime and reliability.
- Document site work and issues; manage tools, calibration equipment, and vehicles while following safety standards and procedures.
What they ask for
- Basic mechanical, residential/light-commercial electrical, network, and office-software knowledge, with hands-on assembly, organization, and inventory-management skills.
- Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather and to work day, evening, and weekend shifts; travel may be up to 20%, with 80%+ travel during the first three months for training.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to lift or move up to 55 pounds.
- Ability to follow installation standards and safety procedures and troubleshoot time-sensitive problems.
Nice to have
- Experience in low-voltage/network electrical systems or in general construction, heavy steel, technical drawings, and material-handling equipment.
- OSHA 30.
