Leads technicians and daily prototype and NPI builds, ensuring hardware is build-ready, traceable, safely assembled, and prepared for production scale-up.
What you'll do
- Coordinate build priorities, technician capacity, materials, tooling, and equipment while resolving technical blockers and communicating progress and risks.
- Oversee assembly, troubleshooting, rework, build configuration, documentation, work instructions, and safety; coach and develop technicians.
- Improve manufacturing quality, reliability, efficiency, cost, and cycle time; partner with Engineering and support production transfers and scale-up.

- 5+ years in manufacturing, production, NPI, or prototype builds, including 2+ years leading or supervising technical personnel.
- Experience managing low-volume, high-variability builds with changing requirements and competing priorities.
- Strong hardware assembly, troubleshooting, and repair skills; ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, BOMs, work instructions, build plans, and equipment specifications.
- Experience developing processes and talent, bringing up equipment, and supporting products from NPI through scaled production, including engineering changes.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with ERP, MES, or PLM systems and continuous improvement methods such as 5S, Lean, or Six Sigma.
- Experience with production transfers, scale-up, or reducing manufacturing costs and cycle times.
Pay
$120,00 to $150,000 (starting cash range; currency not stated)
