About the job

Own simulation strategy for avionics and electronics packaging, using structural, thermal, and multiphysics analysis to guide designs from concept through production and fleet support.

What you'll do

  • Develop structural, dynamic, thermal, and coupled analyses of electronic modules and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Correlate models with laboratory tests and field evidence; investigate failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work with engineering and manufacturing teams and suppliers to identify risks and inform design decisions.

What they ask for

  • Proven experience simulating structural and thermal behavior of complex electromechanical or electronic systems from concept through production.
  • Strong fundamentals in structural mechanics, heat transfer, materials science, fatigue, vibration, contact mechanics, and thermal expansion.
  • Experience with linear and nonlinear finite element analysis, dynamic analysis, and steady-state and transient electronics thermal modeling.
  • Experience with commercial simulation tools and correlating predictions with laboratory testing.

Nice to have

  • Optical simulation experience using tools such as Zemax, FRED, LightTools, or TracePro.
  • Experience supporting RF hardware, EMC/EMI, dimensional tolerance analysis, electronics reliability, or design optimization.
