About the job
Own the electrical architecture, cost, compliance, and deployment support for Zipline’s P2 drone charging towers, from site stub-up to charging docks.
What you'll do
- Design power distribution and cable harnesses; document and manage wire runs.
- Own the electrical-system BOM, analyze design trade-offs, and present data-backed comparisons of architectures.
- Lead NEC and UL compliance and AHJ sign-off, and support on-site deployments.
What they ask for
- Hands-on experience pulling 1-inch diameter power cables and understanding bend radii and conduit constraints.
- Professional experience designing industrial electrical systems, heavy machinery wiring, or complex infrastructure projects.
- Expert-level knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and experience navigating UL certification processes.
- Proficiency in RapidHarness or another tool for ruggedized, outdoor-rated cable assemblies; ability to perform financial trade-off studies.
