Software Engineer - Embedded Linux Operating Systems

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain the OS platform for onboard devices and applications.
• Configure embedded Linux build systems and bootloaders; develop and optimize drivers and kernel-space components.
• Collaborate across teams on OS integration and delivery, issue triage, hardware bring-up, and manufacturing support.

What they ask for

• 4+ years delivering embedded software for production systems.
• Deep understanding of Linux, build systems such as Yocto, and bootloaders such as U-Boot.
• Knowledge of Linux init systems, containerization concepts, filesystems, device drivers, and kernel-space code; proficiency in a language without automatic memory management and multiple scripting languages.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded Linux in a robotics application.
• Familiarity with security software such as PKI, secure boot, OTA software update, or hardware key storage; 2+ years delivering custom Embedded Linux operating systems.

USD 195,000–242,000 per year (base salary)
