- Education
- M.S. or higher in Systems, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Robotics Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
About the job
Leads verification and validation of autonomy simulation, producing evidence on when simulated results can support safety decisions for public-road driving.
What you'll do
- Own the end-to-end simulation V&V strategy, defining datasets, metrics, and comparison methods across integration levels.
- Lead the cross-functional validation program, including milestones, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
- Develop estimators and validation reports, present findings to leadership, and mentor engineers in V&V and systems thinking.
What they ask for
- M.S. or higher in a listed engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or related field.
- 8+ years of verification and validation experience with safety-critical systems containing software or autonomy.
- Track record leading technical programs across several teams from an ambiguous problem to delivery.
- Experience validating a simulation or model against real-world data for decision support; experience with estimators combining simulated and real data or with modeling uncertainties and failure rates.
Nice to have
- Experience with sensor simulation, neural rendering or generative scene synthesis, perception evaluation, or closed-loop motion-planning evaluation at scale.
- Familiarity with listed model credibility and safety standards; hands-on Python and SQL; Ph.D. in a relevant field.
