Principal Software Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and optimize networking and security features, specifications, and automation.
• Deliver scalable, resilient improvements and troubleshoot complex data-path issues.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and customers; mentor junior engineers and maintain required certifications and compliance.

What they ask for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in system engineering for high-performance networking.
• Expertise in Linux kernel-based networking (L2/L3), stateful firewalls, NAT, network drivers, routing protocols, and tunneling technologies.
• Proficiency in Go and Python; foundational AI/ML understanding and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience applying AI technologies and workflows to improve operational efficiency or using AI/ML for networking optimization and predictive threat detection.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, virtualization, or advanced security solutions.

Pay

$185,500 — $265,000 USD (base salary)
