Senior Staff Software Development Engineer, ZIA Core Datapath

What you'll do

• Build and maintain scalable test automation infrastructure and repeatable L4–L7 validation suites.
• Test cloud firewall, tunneling, load balancing, intrusion prevention/detection, and routing/switching; diagnose complex customer issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and optimize the regression cycle in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What they ask for

• 12+ years of overall experience and strong Python programming skills building test automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP(S), TLS, PKI, DNS, DHCP, VPN, HA, routing and switching, and IPsec/GRE tunneling.
• Strong background in L3, L4, and L7 filtering policies, with hands-on exposure to load balancers, IPS/IDS, and routers.
• Experience in manual and automated functional, integration, performance, and scale testing for cloud security/SaaS products, including test plans and test cases.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI-assisted coding, static/dynamic analysis, or intelligent automation tools.
• Hands-on experience with traffic generators, performance/load testing tools, and fuzzing techniques.

Pay

$157,500 — $225,000 USD (base salary)
